Lonely

Hi everyone. I'm so bored. I thought I'd write something here. Mommy and Daddy have been gone for 3 whole days! Mommy told me they'd be back today. I sure hope so. I wonder if Mommy misses me as much as I miss her? Well, that's all I can think of right now.

Who's more amused?

Hi everyone! It's sure has been a long time since I blogged. Mommy's been real busy with other things to write for me. Anyway, I have something new to show you tonight! A real live video of none other that ME! Of course, it's not the first video I've been the star of, but it's the first to make it on my blog. :-D

So, tell me please, who do you think is most amused? Me, or daddy?

Getting Settled

Before I go and forget just how everything happened when I first got here, I decided I'd better go ahead and write about it.
It was rather crazy here the first few days. I wasn't sure at all what in the world was going on. But sitting on top the bookshelf gave me a really good vantage point! Mama watched me very closely to find out what spots I would choose for sleeping, and after I had made my choice, she very kindly put my blanket there. :-) As strange as this place was, there were so many familiar things that helped me to see that maybe this was home now. The best one was that I still had my scratching post.

Getting used to the couches was interesting. I can smell another cat on them, so I've been trying to cover it up with my own scent, but mommy and daddy keep yelling at me! Yesterday I discovered that the other, smaller scratching post had been moved to the corner of one of the couches, and when I scratched it, I didn't get yelled at!

Another thing I like about this house is all the windows. Sometimes another cat comes around to visit, but I can't get outside to meet him, so I'm stuck looking at him through the windows. I wish mama would let me out. But she says I'll be a much happier, healthier cat if I stay in the house. But that didn't stop me from trying once! Unfortunately, it was right under mama's feet and she caught me right off. All well, I'll try again some other time.

Which reminds me, all this writing has made me really tired. Time... for... nap...

A new Home

Quite a lot has happened to me since last I posted here. First off, I learned what that thing I wrote about last time was for. Mama put me in it several times and put me in the car. My, was it scary! But I always got to come straight home afterwards. Then lots of things started happening at once. First off that guy came back to see Mama again, I never had liked him much because whenever he was around Mama paid more attention to him then to me.

But wait! It's gets worse.

Not long after that visit mama disappeared for a whole week! And when she came back, that guy was with her. But something started to change in me then. Somehow, he didn't seem so threatening to me anymore. And there was mama, something had changed in her too. I knew that this man meant something very dear to her, and that he wasn't going away, so I made a decision. I would be nice to him from then on.

But then the Big One happened! One morning there was all this hustle and bustle going on, everyone doing something, going here and there and everywhere. And before I knew what was going on there I was back in that cloth cage, mama carrying me out to a different vehicle than I had been in before. Then mama and the new guy got in the front seat and started driving. But this time they didn't stop, and I didn't get to go back home. They just kept driving, and driving. Finally when darkness had come, they stopped and mama got me out and took me into a strange building. It was not at all like anything I had ever been in before. I was finally let out of my cloth cage and given food and water. Oh how I was hungry! Mama also fixed up a box for me that looked somewhat like my litterbox, but it smelled different, so I wasn't too sure about it.

The next day the bad dream started all over again. I was put back in the cage, and we started driving. In the afternoon we reached our destination. A new home. Not like anything I've ever been to before.

My next post will be all about getting settled in. :-)

Something New

. A couple of weeks ago Mama came home with something new. I'm still not quite sure what it is, but there's a toy fish in there, and I want to get to it so bad! Mama kept trying to show me how to get to it, but I can see it right there! There's just that black stuff keeping me from it.
Frosty came over to check it out too.
Hey, he has an interesting idea!
A few days later Mama did something to it and suddenly I could get to the fishy! Boy, was that fun. And on that string I can really give it some air.

Still, I'm left with questions as to what this thing is really for? If anyone has a suggestion would you let me know?

Play Day

Well, after having been kept in the house for over 2 months, I was finally able to persuade Mama to let me outside today! When she came back up into the pool area I was on the patio and gave her my very best kitty eyes, and asked with my most pitiful meows. And she just couldn't resist! To show her how appreciative I was, I wasted no time in rolling in the dirt and covering myself in it. :D It was so nice being out there.

While out, I did a full perimeter check of the yard and found a few things had changed since I'd been in the house for so long. Namely that my kitty condo (camper) is now open on both sides, so there was no keeping me out this time!

For whatever very strange reason Mama didn't have her camera with her today, so I can't show all the wonderful things I did outside or show you how dirty I got. All well.

Next time I hope you share with you my last outside excursion in the snow! That was over a month ago.
